Quando a sua bateria est\u00e1 ligada a um controlador PWM, a tens\u00e3o do seu painel solar \u00e9 reduzida para corresponder \u00e0 tens\u00e3o dessa bateria, como resultado da grande carga e de qualquer queda de tens\u00e3o no cabo. Esta tens\u00e3o s\u00f3 come\u00e7ar\u00e1 a aumentar quando a bateria estiver mais carregada e a sua tens\u00e3o aumentar. Quando a tens\u00e3o de absor\u00e7\u00e3o da bateria \u00e9 atingida, a sa\u00edda do controlador come\u00e7a a ligar-se e a desligar-se com um comprimento de impulso vari\u00e1vel para evitar sobrecarregar a bateria durante a fase de absor\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n<p>Como resultado da queda de tens\u00e3o, nunca ir\u00e1 utilizar todo o potencial do seu painel, mesmo quando a bateria estiver totalmente carregada e a tens\u00e3o subir para 14,8V. Para o ajudar a compreender isto, aqui est\u00e3o alguns exemplos r\u00e1pidos utilizando um painel solar t\u00edpico de 100W.<\/p>\n\n<p>Este painel de 100 W pode produzir 4,95 A, por isso, quando ligado com um controlador PWM \u00e0 nossa bateria e a tens\u00e3o \u00e9 reduzida para 13 V, obtemos os seguintes resultados:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>13 V x 4,95 A = 64,35 W<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Mesmo com a bateria totalmente carregada e a tens\u00e3o a aumentar para 14,8 V, a pot\u00eancia de sa\u00edda \u00e9 limitada:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>14,8 V x 4,95 A = 73,26 W<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Como pode ver, nunca utilizamos todo o potencial do painel (o seu ponto de pot\u00eancia m\u00e1xima) porque a tens\u00e3o \u00e9 reduzida para 13 V e, por isso, perdemos 35% da pot\u00eancia potencial do nosso painel de 100 W. Utilizando microprocessadores e software, um controlador MPPT ajusta continuamente a tens\u00e3o de entrada para recolher a pot\u00eancia m\u00e1xima dispon\u00edvel do painel solar, que pode depois converter numa tens\u00e3o de sa\u00edda utiliz\u00e1vel para carregar a bateria. Este tipo de controlador impede que a bateria e o painel solar sejam ligados diretamente, evitando assim a queda de tens\u00e3o e a perda de pot\u00eancia de pico observadas com os controladores PWM.<\/p>\n\n<p>A capacidade de lidar com a tens\u00e3o m\u00e1xima do painel \u00e9 o que permite que o controlador MPPT forne\u00e7a um aumento de 30% (em m\u00e9dia) na energia recolhida, especialmente em condi\u00e7\u00f5es mais frias.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><strong>Temperatura<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>A temperatura pode ter um impacto significativo na pot\u00eancia de sa\u00edda do seu painel, o que tamb\u00e9m pode afetar o desempenho do controlador. Os pain\u00e9is solares s\u00e3o projectados para funcionar melhor em condi\u00e7\u00f5es frias e, portanto, produzir\u00e3o a sua pot\u00eancia m\u00e1xima a temperaturas mais baixas. Um painel solar produzir\u00e1 uma corrente quase constante independentemente da temperatura, no entanto, a tens\u00e3o de pot\u00eancia m\u00e1xima (a tens\u00e3o na qual a sa\u00edda de corrente come\u00e7a a diminuir) diminuir\u00e1 \u00e0 medida que a temperatura aumenta. Em climas mais quentes, portanto, a capacidade do painel para produzir a sua pot\u00eancia total (tens\u00e3o x corrente) diminui. Isto significa que, se estiver num clima mais quente, poder\u00e1 ver uma ligeira diminui\u00e7\u00e3o no desempenho de um controlador MPPT \u00e0 medida que a tens\u00e3o de pot\u00eancia m\u00e1xima se aproxima da tens\u00e3o da bateria. No entanto, se a unidade tiver sido dimensionada corretamente, isto n\u00e3o dever\u00e1 causar quaisquer problemas, uma vez que a tens\u00e3o do painel permanecer\u00e1 sempre acima da bateria. No entanto, se tiver apenas 1 painel, pode achar que este proporciona o mesmo desempenho que um controlador PWM.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sombreamento do painel<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>O sombreamento dos pain\u00e9is por \u00e1rvores pendentes ou mesmo a simples cobertura de nuvens tamb\u00e9m reduz ainda mais a tens\u00e3o do painel solar, o que significa que a perda de energia quando se utilizam controladores PWM pode ser ainda maior. Quando se utiliza um controlador MPPT, a tens\u00e3o deve manter-se muito mais elevada do que a tens\u00e3o da bateria e, por conseguinte, proporcionar um desempenho superior ao dos controladores PWM. A utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de pain\u00e9is em s\u00e9rie ir\u00e1 arrastar para baixo todos os m\u00f3dulos que est\u00e3o ligados em s\u00e9rie com o sombreamento. Por conseguinte, recomendamos a utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de pain\u00e9is em paralelo para aplica\u00e7\u00f5es em que \u00e9 prov\u00e1vel a exist\u00eancia de sombreamento, como \u00e9 o caso de um iate com sombreamento de mastro.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><strong>Conclus\u00e3o<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Os controladores PWM oferecem uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o de baixo custo para pequenos pain\u00e9is solares e seriam mais bem utilizados em climas quentes (40 <sup>ou<\/sup> C+).<\/p>\n\n<p>Os controladores MPPT n\u00e3o s\u00f3 tentam recolher a tens\u00e3o m\u00e1xima de energia, como tamb\u00e9m permitem adicionar pain\u00e9is solares maiores que t\u00eam tens\u00f5es mais elevadas. Tamb\u00e9m oferecem o melhor desempenho em climas mais frios, com condi\u00e7\u00f5es nubladas ou chuvosas, ou onde possa ocorrer sombreamento dos pain\u00e9is.<\/p>\n\n<p>Recomendamos a utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de um sistema de pain\u00e9is solares com uma tens\u00e3o mais elevada em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com a tens\u00e3o da bateria, ou seja, 2 m\u00f3dulos de 12V em s\u00e9rie para uma bateria de 12V ou pelo menos 3 m\u00f3dulos de 12V para uma bateria de 24V e assim por diante.
